sf autumn leaves1

cuppa1Celebrate with me!

After four years in production, this is my first ever published novel!  ‘Guardians of the Promise: Tamar’s Story’.  In 1714 BC, a young country girl began the journey of her life.  She was given in marriage to the eldest son of Judah, to Erdad of the tribe of Abraham.

As she began this journey in fear and trembling, Tamar had little idea of the future she would find.

Remember, if you send me an email, I’ll send you a free chapter!

Marriage Boot Camp: Logical vs. Emotional Questions

communication skills

Here is an interesting YouTube to add comments to our last post on Logical versus Intuitive mindsets between the genders. Jim and Elizabeth believe the key to communicating in your relationships begin with figuring out the two kinds of very different questions.

Again, this YouTube stresses one of the basic rules of relationship health is to always deal with the emotional aspects of a problem first, before attempting to discuss it rationally.

6/23 The 6th Difference in Genders for Conflict Solutions The Relationship Focus versus the Problem Solving Focus

male female diffSo far in our discussion on ‘What your dad didn’t tell you about the opposite sex’, we have looked at Five of the Seven main misunderstandings about males and females.  We talked about the unconscious belief that females are just like males but in a female body.  How wrong this misdirected conception is ….. and how painful when males and females hold this unrealistic idea.

Check out:  http://conflictsolutions.mentorsnotebook.com/?p=822 for a quick review.

Then the second area we looked at was the interesting view that opposites can and do attack.  It’s finding the right balance and combining the talents and gift of both people that often holds the key to good working relationships.

Conflict Solutions YouTube: How to Increase Emotional Intimacy

Conflict Solutions asks ‘So what is emotional intimacy’?

Here is an interesting YouTube and Book, by Donna Barnes NYU Certified Life & Relationship Coach, the author of ‘Giving Up Junk-Food Relationships’, listed through:  http://www.DonnaBarnes.com/YouTube, June 2013

Real intimacy takes time to establish. It involves trust and mutually feeling safe to be vulnerable, allowing healthy self-disclosure without fearing being betrayed or misunderstood. It involves respect, tolerance, and always sharing how you feel—no secrets. In a truly intimate relationship, you will feel safe, loved, appreciated, and emotionally supported.
